Where to Look for Kim Cattrall: From 'Sex and the City' to 'Filthy Rich'

It was just announced that there will be a Sex and the City revival series, called And Just Like That.... The HBO Max reboot will see the return of original cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. But, unfortunately for Samantha fans, Kim Cattrall will not be a part of it.

Even so, there's plenty of Cattrall to go around. Let's take a peek at where else to find this fine actress:

1. Who Do You Think You Are?

In 2011, Cattrall took part in the series Who Do You Think You Are?, in which guests of the show trace back their roots. For viewers, it might be surprising to learn that Cattrall was born in Liverpool, England — also the hometown of Killing Eve's Jodie Comer! But even more surprising for Cattrall, she meets family members she didn't even know she had.

Her trip "home" is emotional but seemingly cathartic.

2. Comic Relief: Uptown Downstairs Abbey

And what better way to celebrate her English heritage than to step into a spoof of Downton Abbey. In 2011, Cattrall starred as the Countess of Grantham in the Comic Relief sketch Uptown Downstairs Abbey. She and her fellow aristocrats talk about the future, with the Countess saying, "Who will inherit this house and my Sex and the City millions?"

We like how she threw in a pop culture reference unexpectedly.

3. Producing Parker

Have you ever thought about what Cattrall would be like animated? Wonder no more! She stars in the animated series Producing Parker as a TV host. The series, which ran for three seasons (2009-2011), revolves around a young producer named Parker Kovak (Kristin Booth), who works on a women's talk show. She loves her job, but her boss (Cattrall) is a bit... high-maintenance.

While we don't actually see Cattrall on-screen, we definitely see some of her mannerisms in this character.

4. Sensitive Skin

In the comedy Sensitive Skin, Cattrall plays a woman named Davina Jackson. She's struggling with aging and not sure what to do about it. She says she prefers to be alone, but then wonders if she's actually hiding. We hear her in the above clip say, "What you want and what you have aren't always the same thing... but that's life!"

It seems Jackson needs to figure out what she wants, and she has two seasons to do it.

5. The Witness for the Prosecution

In 2011, Cattrall got her Agatha Christie on, starring in the TV adaptation of The Witness for the Prosecution. The story is set in 1923 London, revolving around an heiress named Emily French (Cattrall), who pays a young man (Billy Howle) to be her companion. Their arrangement lasts for three months, but it comes to an end when French is murdered.

Based on a short story, the two-part miniseries plots out the whodunit.

6. Modus

In 2017, Cattrall was spotted in the second season of the Swedish series Modus. The crime drama follows a psychologist and profiler Inger Johanne Vi (Melinda Kinnaman), who becomes involved in police investigations. We see Cattrall as U.S. President Helen Tyler, making a visit to Sweden.

When she goes missing, things become dire. We hear in the above clip, "Sweden needs to own this. You guys lost the American president."

7. Tell Me a Story

We also saw Cattrall in the anthology series Tell Me a Story (2018), that takes well-known fairytales and reimagines them as modern-day thrillers. Cattrall stars as Colleen Powell, aka Grandma to Little Red Riding Hood. When her son comes home for a visit, he brings a troubled teen with him.

Powell may not be her biological grandmother, but steps in as caretaker.

8. Horrible Histories: The Movie — Rotten Romans

In 2019, Cattrall took on the royal role of Roman Empress Agrippina in Horrible Histories: The Movie — Rotten Romans. When her husband Claudius (Derek Jacobi) keels over, she skips the mourning period and instead crowns her son Nero (Craig Roberts) as the new Emperor of Rome.

It's believed Agrippina may have poisoned her husband, which might explain the lack of empathy.

9. Filthy Rich

You can look for Cattrall in 2020's Filthy Rich as a billionairess Margaret Monreaux, who heads up a family and a company. With her husband recently deceased, it seems her family might be turning against her.

If she's dead, then the kids get their cut of the fortune.

We hope to see more of Kim Cattrall in 2021. What about you!?
