Martin Compston is quickly becoming an Anglo regular. Earlier this year, we mentioned the Line of Duty actor starring in the miniseries Our House and hosting a BBC docuseries about his native Scotland.
And now here he is again. You can look for Compston in the six-part series The Rig, reports RadioTimes.
The story revolves around an oil rig crew “stationed off the Scottish coast in the dangerous waters of the North Sea.” As they get ready to make their way back to the mainland, the ship is surrounded by a fog. From there, they lose all ability to communicate with the outside world.
The arrival of this dark cloud wreaks havoc on the ship and takes a toll on the crew:

In addition to Compston, you can look for other familiar faces like Ian Glen, Mark Addy, and Emily Hampshire.
The Rig is set to premiere on January 6 over at Amazon.
