It was announced that Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany would be playing the title role in the Disney+ series She-Hulk. Then, the announcement was squashed, and blamed on a press release gone wild. And, theeeen, Maslany herself confirmed the casting. Whew.

If the back-and-forth is a little confusing, Maslany is in fact set to be taking on the role of She-Hulk, with the series premiering in 2022.

Once it was officially-official, Maslany shared her excitement via Instagram.

There's talk of a second actress being cast to join the series, but let's put it out there: this, too, could be squashed.

Multiple outlets are reporting that Jameela Jamil is joining the cast as Titania, reports Deadline.  The English actress started off her career as a presenter in the U.K., then turned her sights to acting.

Maslany will play two roles, starring as lawyer Jennifer Walters, who, when she gets a little turned up, turns into She-Hulk. She and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) are cousins, and when she receives a blood transfusion from him, she begins to develop superhuman abilities.

Titania is described in the comics as having been bullied in her younger years and is now bitter... and, we suppose, vindictive.

Jamil has done a lot of voice work, starring in animated series like Harley Quinn (2020) and DuckTales (2019-2021), and many may know her from her role as Tahani on The Good Place (2016-2020). She-Hulk will be her second major role on American TV.

Are you psyched to see these two go head-to-head on-screen?
