Emilia Clarke Has Begun Filming for 'Secret Invasion'

You can look for Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke in the forthcoming Marvel series Secret Invasion. When the casting was first announced, Clarke talked about joining “the cool kid club.”
Which does give us a giggle, as that school mentality does stick with people, even celebrities.
We’d think Game of Thrones is pretty cool, but we get what she means, Marvel is in its own category.
She’s not just in the club, she’s leading it.
Clarke stars in all six episodes, which have begun filming in the U.K., reports ComingSoon.net.
The forthcoming Disney+ series is based off of the 2008 eight-part comic book series, which revolves around the alien race Skrulls planning an Earth takeover. According to the IMDB description, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and a Skrull named Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), team up to try and stop the invasion.
Clarke’s character has yet to be announced, with her role simply described as her “mysterious character.”
Even so, she’s one of the first to begin filming her scenes, in addition to Jackson.

Some eagle eye fans have spotted her on the street in character, taking snaps and posting snippet videos.
We aren’t ones to feature unofficial behind-the-scenes photos per say, out of respect for the series creators, as they haven’t been released by the production company.
But, at the same time, Clarke’s character is in street clothes, so it’s not necessarily spoiler-y.
If you’d like, you can take a peek over at Twitter.
In addition to Clarke and Jackson, you can also look for Ben Mendelsohn. There’s been mention of Olivia Colman starring, but it’s yet to be confirmed, so that would fall under a hard maybe.
If it does happen, Colman’s involvement would really up the “Cool Kid Club” factor.
We should be finding out sooner than later, with Secret Invasion predicted to premiere this year.
