Casting News: Millie Bobby Brown to Star in and Produce Hostage Thriller 'The Girls I've Been'

Millie Bobby Brown appears to have lined up her next movie role: Deadline reports that the Stranger Things actress is attached to star in The Girls I’ve Been, a hostage thriller with an LGBTQ element.

Brown will also produce the movie, an adaptation of a popular young adult novel by Tess Sharpe, which follows a young woman named Nora who must use all of her ingenuity to extricate herself, her girlfriend, and her ex-boyfriend from a hostage situation.

Jason Bateman is also producing the movie, which is in the works at Netflix, home to Brown's breakout series Stranger Things.

The British actress, 16, has also produced and starred in the upcoming Netflix detective movie Enola Holmes, which is based on Nancy Springer's book series The Enola Holmes Mysteries. Springer's novels pivot on the idea that Sherlock Holmes has a much younger sister, Enola, who is also an amazing detective. Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter, Sam Claflin, and Killing Eve's Fiona Shaw co-star in the movie, which is expected to premiere in September.
