If you loved Hugh Grant's dastardly performance as narcissistic actor Phoenix Buchanan in Paddington 2, today brings exciting news – he's signed up to play another movie villain.

According to Deadline, Grant has been cast as the main antagonist in the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons movie, Forge Fletcher. No further details have been revealed, but the fact that Grant will be playing a character called Forge Fletcher is reason enough to get excited, no?

Rising star Sophia Lillis (It, Sharp Objects) has also been added to the cast of the movie, which has a stellar ensemble led by Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Justice Smith.

Bridgerton's break-out star Regé-Jean Page also joined the cast back in February. Game Night's Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are writing and directing the movie, which is based on the fantasy role-playing game of the same name.

Grant was just nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance as a suspected murderer in the limited series The Undoing. He lost out Sunday night to I Know This Much Is True's Mark Ruffalo, but this will hardly dent his recent career revival. He also picked up plaudits for his performance in Russell T Davies's 2018 miniseries A Very English Scandal and Guy Ritchie's movie The Gentlemen, sparking something of a "Hughaissance" following a period in which he took on very few roles.

And long may the "Hughaissance" continue, quite frankly.

What kind of villain do you think Hugh Grant's Forge Fletcher will be?
