Casting News: 'Harry Potter' Actor Rupert Grint Joins Horror Anthology Series 'Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities'

Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint is the latest big name to join Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, Deadline reports.
Del Toro, the Oscar-winning director of Pan's Labyrinth and The Shape of Water, is serving as executive producer and co-showrunner on the upcoming anthology series. According to Netflix, it's envisaged as a "collection of unprecedented and genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror."
Grint joins a stacked cast that already includes The Walking Dead favorite Andrew Lincoln, Homeland's F. Murray Abraham, The Chronicles of Narnia actor Ben Barnes, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries star Essie Davis, Stargate franchise veteran David Hewlett, and Black Sails' Luke Roberts.
Del Toro is already known to be a Grint fan. Last year he tweeted that he felt the actor "almost steals" season one of Servant, the psychological horror series he stars in. Grint has recently finished work on the show's third season.
The actor's next assignment is a rather more nostalgic one, though. He's confirmed to be joining Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and a host of other Harry Potter actors in the movie franchise's upcoming 20th anniversary special, which premieres New Year's Day on HBO Max.
