Writer's Room: Returning to Five Points

Series writer and producer Kyle Bradstreet talks returning to the world of 'Copper' for Season Two. Return: ri-ˈtərn intransitive verb 1. to go back or come back again I'm tempted to write that Season Two is our collective return to Copper - to Five Points, to 23rd Street, to Carmansville - but the truth is... we never left. Once one becomes buried in the world of Copper, it's a difficult place to leave. From the moment we wrapped shooting on Season One to that September day when we finished editing Episode Ten, stories, scenes, plot points - infinite possibilities for Season Two encompassed our minds. And then, a month later, we got the greenlight to begin writing Season Two. Time to put those possibilities on paper.

'Copper' Season 2: Donal Logue as General Brendan and Tom Weston-Jones as Detective Kevin Corcoran

Today I stand inside a massive soundstage in Toronto - the land where Copper lives. I walk the streets of 1865 (a new season, a new year) and, once again, it feels as if I've stepped back in time. I'm elated to reunite with our phenomenal cast and crew - and to welcome those who are new into the Copper family. The journey continues. Stay tuned. It's going to be one hell of a ride.
