Where Are They Now: 'Doctor Who's Thirteenth Doctor, Friends and Guest Stars
You can find the cast of the latest Doctor Who season over at BBC America, with the full latest season available to binge. Jodie Whittaker, who plays the Thirteenth Doctor, and Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill, who makeup her friends, have been pretty busy with DW Season 12, so they may not have other projects going on at the moment.
But, we still thought it worthwhile to do a check in to see where else you can find them and DW guest stars:
1. Jodie Whittaker

Recently, Jodie Whittaker sent out a message of hope as the Doctor, reminding people to be kind to one another. She produced the video from her home, while also self-isolating. If you'd like to backtrack and watch more of Whittaker in recent roles, she also starred in BBC America's Broadchurch as heartbroken mum Beth Latimer, whose little boy is murdered. Broadchurch was created and written by current DW showrunner Chris Chibnall. And, also stars DW alum David Tennant, Olivia Colman and Arthur Darvill. That's a lot of DW in one place. Going a little further back, Whittaker took on the role of CIA counter-intelligence officer Sandy Grimes in the 2014 miniseries The Assets. Grimes is on a mission to out a mole in her organization. Also, you may have spotted Whittaker in the Black Mirror episode "The Entire History of You" in 2011. And in one of her earliest projects, she played Izzy Huett in the period drama Tess of the D'Urbervilles. The 2008 miniseries revolves around a family who learns they have noble connections.
2. Bradley Walsh

Bradley Walsh joined DW in 2018, taking on the role of friend to the Doctor, Graham O'Brien. You can also look for him in Law and Order: U.K., where he played detective Ronnie Brooks from 2009-2014. While Brooks has a drinking problem and isn't the best dad, he takes his job very seriously (yep, sounds like the Law and Order we know stateside). In 2008, he starred opposite Suranne Jones in the sci-fi series The Sarah Jane Adventures. Walsh took on three roles, portraying Odd Bob, Elijah Spellman and The Pied Piper. He made his breakthrough on the long-running soap Coronation street, starring as Danny Baldwin from 2004-2006. Danny moves to the busy street in the village of Weatherfield to help his uncle with his business. If you'd like to catch up with Walsh off-screen, he shares personal moments over at Instagram.
3. Tosin Cole

Like Walsh, Tosin Cole joined DW in 2018 as a friend to the Doctor, named Ryan Sinclair. Cole is pretty active on Twitter, posting updates about what he's doing, like looking forward to season three of Ozark. He's also been spotted in 2015's Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens as Lieutenant Bastian. Also in 2015, he starred in two episodes of the popular mystery series Inspector Lewis. You can look for him as Djimon Adomakoh in "What Lies Tangled, Part 1" and "Part 2." One of his earliest roles was in the soap Hollyoaks (2011-2012) as Neil Cooper. He's signed on to take the lead in the forthcoming series 61st Street, which follows a promising high school athlete (Cole), who gets involved in a corrupt Chicago criminal justice system.
4. Mandip Gill

Mandip Gill plays a friend of the Doctor named Yasmin Khan, joining the DW franchise in 2018. She's posted a tweet about William Shakespeare writing King Lear while he was quarantined. She's handling things in her own artistic way. If you're enjoying Gill in DW, you can also find her in the 2017 series Love, Lies and Records. Not records as in music, but what you would find in a registrar office, where the drama is based. Gill also starred in the medical soap Doctors in 2016, taking on the role of Shazia Amin in a five-episode storyline. Before that, she spent three years on the soap Hollyoaks (2012-2015) as Phoebe McQueen. She's also signed on for the romantic comedy Snapshot Wedding, which is in pre-production.
5. Stephen Fry

It warmed our heart when learning Stephen Fry would be joining DW for the episode "Spyfall, Part 1." He plays the role of C, the head of MI6. And, he warmed our heart when sharing a sweet exchange between a man, 93, and his 5-year-old neighbor, while both in quarantine, seen above. Also this year, Fry starred in an episode of Sex Education as NSQC Quizmaster. Funnily enough, he was also the host of the quiz show, QI, which stands for Quite Interesting, from 2003-2016. Maybe it's not a coincidence that he was cast as a Quizmaster? In 2016, he popped up in the American comedy The Great Indoors, starring as the publisher of an adventure magazine. If you're in the mood for some "vintage" Fry, you can always go back to some oldie but goodies like A Bit of Fry and Laurie (1987-1995) or the Blackadder series, which he starred in on and off from 1986-1999.
6. John Barrowman

Jack is back! That is, John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness. He made a surprise return to DW, reprising his role as Captain Jack Harkness in the Season 12 episode "Fugitive of the Judoon." You can see him in the DW spinoff series, Torchwood (2006-2011), where he also plays Harkness. He and his team protect Earth from out of this world threats. In addition to his sci-fi adventures, Barrowman starred in the superhero series Arrow as Malcolm Merlyn from 2012-2019. And you may remember him popping up in the Desperate Housewives series as the devious Patrick Logan in 2010. He's active on both Twitter and Instagram, here's a post he shared of his mum and dad giving thanks for the well wishes, celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary, while in quarantine.
