Pixar fans assemble! The first teaser trailer for the studio's new movie Onward has debuted, and it introduces us to the otherworldly characters voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt.

Holland and Pratt play teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barney Lightfoot, who embark on a journey to find out whether magic still exists so they can spend one last day with their father, who died when they were young.

Onward takes place in the cutely-named town of New Mushroomton, a place where unicorns exist, people have pet dragons, and garden gnomes work as actual gardeners – see what they did there?! Check it out for yourself in the trailer.

Onward is directed and co-written by Monsters University's Dan Scanlon, who's said of the movie: "At Pixar we try to create stories that come from some kind of personal truth. This film was inspired by my own relationship with my brother."

Meanwhile, the movie's producer Kori Rae has said of Holland: "He has an infectious charm and sincerity that makes you root for him in every character he plays." Judging on his past roles in Spider Man: Homecoming and Wolf Hall, it's pretty difficult not to agree.

So if Pixar's award-winning Toy Story 3 made you pretty emotional, it sounds as though Onward could do the same. It's due in theaters March 6, 2020.
