WATCH: Rupert Grint and John Malkovich in Trailer for Agatha Christie's 'The ABC Murders'
Rupert Grint's latest role is a long way from his Harry Potter character Ron Weasley: he's playing a cynical police officer in the new Agatha Christie adaptation The ABC Murders.
Amazon Prime has just released a trailer for the three-part drama, which stars John Malkovich as Christie's iconic Belgian detective Hercule Poirot.

The ABC Murders, which debuts February 1 on the streaming platform, follows Poirot as he pursues an enigmatic serial killer known as "ABC" who is targeting victims who live in British towns featured in The ABC Railway Guide.
It was adapted from the 1936 murder-mystery novel by Sarah Phelps, who also scripted the BBC's earlier Christie adaptations Witness for the Prosecution and And Then There Were None.
Grint plays Inspector Crome, a Scotland Yard officer who is distrustful of Poirot because he believes the Belgian detective damaged the reputation of a former colleague.
Grint recently told the Radio Times that he was attracted to the "very dark” script for The ABC Murders, as well as the chance to portray "someone with authority" as he is "used to playing the vulnerable, nerdy sidekick."
It's definitely going to be interesting seeing him playing a less immediately likable character.
The all-star BBC adaptation also stars Shirley Henderson (Harry Potter) as Miss Rose Marbury, Andrew Buchan (Broadchurch) as Franklin Clarke, Freya Mavor (The Sense of an Ending) as Thora Grey, Tara Fitzgerald (Game of Thrones) as Lady Hermione Clarke, and Henry Goodman (Penny Dreadful) as Sidney Prynne.
