WATCH: Ricky Gervais and Ashley Jensen Return in 'After Life' Season 2 Trailer
Ricky Gervais has shared a trailer for the second season of his dark comedy series, After Life, and it features some familiar faces.
Gervais' Extras co-star Ashley Jensen returns as Emma, a nurse working at the care home where Gervais' character Tony goes to visit his dad. The Netflix series, which premiered last year, follows Tony as he struggles to regain his appetite for life after his wife dies of breast cancer. Kerry Godliman, who previously appeared in another Gervais comedy, Derek, appears in flashback sequences as Tony's late wife, Lisa.
Dame Penelope Wilton also returns as Anne, an older widow whom Tony meets for philosophical chats in the local park. In the trailer, they're seen enjoying a swig of wine from the bottle – super-relatable right now. Check out the trailer below, though be warned that it does feature some very adult language.
