The trailer for season three of parenting sitcom Breeders has premiered, giving us a glimpse of the various family difficulties facing Martin Freeman's Paul and Daisy Haggard's Ally.
At the beginning of the upcoming season, Paul has agreed to leave the family home because of escalating tensions with teenage son Alex (Luke Eastwood). He is now living with mother-in-law Leah (Stella Gonet), which leaves partner Ally to handle the lion's share of the parenting, including a milestone moment for daughter Ava (Eve Prenelle).
The trailer also hints at some kind of medical issue for Paul, as well as a budding friendship with another woman played by Smack the Pony and Bridget Jones actress Sally Phillips. Understandably, Ally doesn't seem too pleased about this development. You can watch the full trailer, which does include some salty language, here
Co-created by Freeman, Breeders launched on FX in the U.S. and Sky One in the U.K. in 2020. Season three will premiere on FX May 9 before streaming on Hulu the following day.
This month, Freeman fans in the U.S. can also catch him in fast-pace police drama series The Responder, which premieres on BritBox tomorrow (May 3).
