Watch: Lesley Manville Gets Inquisitive in Trailer for New Mystery Series 'Magpie Murders'

It is a truth universally acknowledged that you can never have too much Lesley Manville, so it's a pleasure to see her in the trailer for Magpie Murders
Manville stars in the 1950s-set murder mystery series as Susan Ryeland, a book editor whose life is transformed when she is sent an unfinished copy of Alan Conway's latest novel. Keen to read the completed book, she travels to Conway's house to collect the concluding pages, only to find her client has been murdered.
At this point, she begins to suspect that Conway may have been hiding clues about what happened to him in the unfinished novel.
Based on a 2016 bestseller by Anthony Horowitz, the writer-creator of Foyle's War, the series co-stars Daniel Mays, Pippa Haywood, and Conleth Hill as Alan Conway, all of whom appear in the trailer. Magpie Murders will premiere in the U.K. on BritBox on February 10. In the U.S., it will air on PBS Masterpiece at a date to be confirmed. We can also look forward to seeing Lesley Manville in the upcoming season of The Crown, in which she plays Princess Margaret, following in the footsteps of Vanessa Kirby and Helena Bonham Carter.
