WATCH: Kaley Cuoco Stars in New Trailer for Killer-Thriller Series 'The Flight Attendant'
We finally get a first look at Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) in the forthcoming eight-part series The Flight Attendant, based on Chris Bohjalian's 2018 thriller novel. Cuoco takes the lead, starring as a woman named Cassandra, and, yep, you guessed it, she's a flight attendant.
Up until now, all we really knew about the story was that Cassandra wakes up in a hotel room next to a dead body. Being severely hungover, she's in a haze and has no recollection of what happened to land her in this beyond disturbing situation...
The new trailer helps fill in some of the blanks. It turns out, she hit it off with one of the passengers while in-flight the night before. The two got romantical in the airplane bathroom, went to dinner once they landed and ended up back at his hotel room.
In the new clip, we see Cassandra telling the story, saying, "When I woke up in the morning, he was... SO... alive!!" Right then, someone whispers in her ear, "I think they know you're lying." As the camera pulls back, we realize she's being interrogated.
She then tells the real story and how the entire night just "flickers."
You can see what she means by that in the below:
As the footage rolls out, it appears she's been released and a little later on, her best friend (Zosia Mamet) asks, "Why'd you clean it up?" At this point, Cassandra is being brutally honest, exclaiming, almost pleadingly, "I don't know???" We're no criminal justice majors over here, but it seems like she panicked.
We believe that Cassandra doesn't remember what happened, but that doesn't mean her memory won't came back to her. In the meantime, she's dodging the FBI and seems to have become a bit of an amateur sleuth, trying to put the pieces together.
Cuoco voiced Harley Quinn in the animated TV series, which ran for two seasons (2019-2020). But, other than that, this is her first major role since the 2019 finale of The Big Bang Theory.
We can look for The Flight Attendant on November 26 via HBO Max.
