In an earlier post, we mentioned Hugh Grant (The Undoing) is set to star in Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker's forthcoming mockumentary Death to 2020.

And now here we are, the first official trailer has been released. It's not just Grant — he's joined by an all-star lineup including Samuel L. Jackson, Tracey Ullman, Lisa Kudrow, Kumail Nanjiani, Samson Kayo, Leslie Jones, Diane Morgan, Cristin Milioti and Joe Keery.

The trailer kicks off with the narrator describing 2020 as: "The year whose story couldn't be told until now, because it was still happening."

The filmmakers have unprecedented access to experts, politicos, monarchs and average citizens, to help tell "the most definitive story of the most historic year in history."

Experts like Grant's historian character, who says to the interviewer, "Can I put my little helper down and you won't be able to see it in your box?" His "little helper" refers to his cocktail and "box" refers to the TV screen.

We might be in trouble, if this is who we are relying on to tell the story:

Death to 2020 will premiere on December 27 over at Netflix.

Dare we ask, are you ready for 2021??
