WATCH: Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, and the Cast Discuss 'Downton Abbey: A New Era'

Are you ready for a return trip to Downton Abbey? The cast of the Emmy-winning TV series has reunited for a second spin-off movie, Downton Abbey: A New Era, that opens in U.S. theaters today (May 20).
Anglophenia's Sharon Carpenter speaks to Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern – a.k.a. Lord and Lady Grantham – about exactly what this "new era" means for the family. She also asks Michelle Dockery, who plays eldest daughter Lady Mary, whether she prefers the older, meaner version of her character, or the new, more measured incarnation.
One of the movie's storylines sees a film crew led by director Jack Barber (Hugh Dancy) descend on Downton Abbey, much to the delight of many of the house's staff members. Carpenter also chats to Joanne Froggatt (Anna Bates), Phyllis Logan (Elsie Carson), and Kevin Doyle (Joseph Molesley) about how their characters react to the glamorous new arrivals, and finds out how well Dancy's director gets on with Lady Mary.
