WATCH: David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker Don 'Doctor Who' Costumes to Judge James Corden's Cosplay Contest

Doctor Who stars David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker have dug out their original Timelord costumes to judge a Doctor Who cosplay contest for James Corden.

During their appearance on The Late Late Show Thursday, Tennant and Whittaker teamed up to rate six Doctor Who superfans who'd been given 24 hours to dress as a different classic baddie from the long-running sci-fi show.

The contestants used household objects to make themselves look like a Cyberman, the Face of Boe, an Ood, a Dalek, a Cloister Wraith, and a member of the Kasaavin respectively.

Whittaker told Corden she'd be "good cop" on the judging panel, while Tennant promised to be "ruthless." Tennant's tough love proved very necessary as some of the costumes were a lot more inventive than others – you can check out the full segment below.

This isn't the first time the two Doctor Who stars have appeared together on screen; they starred alongside one another (and Olivia Colman) in the crime drama series Broadchurch, which like Doctor Who, aired on BBC America.

Tennant also delighted Doctor Who fans recently when they spotted a replica TARDIS in his garden – and we recently rounded up everything he's been up to lately, which is rather a lot.
