WATCH: All Your Faves Return in the First 'Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again' Trailer

Nearly a decade after the original movie was released, the first trailer for the follow-up, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, has premiered. And it has pretty much everything you would want.

It begins with a pregnant Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) reaching out to her mom's friends Tanya (Christine Baranski) and Rosie (Julie Walters) for parenthood advice. "Your mother was the bravest person we ever knew," Rosie replies, before Tanya adds: "Let me tell you how she did it, all on her own..."

This leads into a flashback introducing a younger version of Meryl Streep's character Donna, who's played by Downton Abbey actress Lily James. The sequel to the original Mamma Mia! film, which grossed a massive $609.8 million back in 2008, will evidently take place partly in Donna and Sophie's present, and partly in Donna's past.

But don't worry: the trailer also gives us glimpses of Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgård, and Dominic Cooper, who are all reprising their roles from the first film. They're joined by newcomers including Jeremy Irvine as the young version of Brosnan's character, and the one and only Cher, who has a cameo as Donna's mom.

Oh, and as you might imagine, the trailer also features plenty of ABBA music.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel's Ol Parker writes and directs with the producing duo behind the original film, Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzma, back on board.

One more thing we know already: Cher has let slip one of the songs she'll be singing in the movie.
