'The New Mutants' Starring Maisie Williams Gets a New Trailer and Release Date

It's been three years since the X-Men spinoff movie The New Mutants was announced. But, it now has a release date, premiering on August 28.

There have been a number of delays, but rather than dwelling on the past, let's focus on the now.

During a virtual Comic-Con panel that happened just yesterday (July 23), a new trailer was released featuring Anglo favorite Maisie Williams and a whole bunch of other familiar faces:

Williams (Game of Thrones) takes on the role of Wolfsbane, a Scottish mutant who is conflicted about her ability to turn into a wolf. We can also look for Anya Taylor-Joy (Emma.) as Magik, a Russian sorceress who uses teleportation. The cast is rounded out with Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) as Cannonball, Henry Zaga (The Stand) as Sunspot and Blu Hunt (The Originals) as Mirage.

The teen mutants first appeared in Marvel comics in 1982.

In addition to the trailer, some first look posters have been revealed:

"Rad" is definitely a good way to describe the artwork.

If you had a superhero ability what would it be?
