Tatiana Maslany Squashes 'She-Hulk' Casting Rumor

It appears there's been a bit of confusion. It was reported that Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany had been cast in the title role of She-Hulk.

And in a recent interview, Maslany shut it down. She spoke to The Sudbury Star, who asked about the Marvel role, with Maslany saying, "That actually isn’t a real thing and it’s like a press release that’s gotten out of hand."

Well, this is awkward.

She went on to say, "It’s totally not, I’ve been connected to these things in the past and press has gotten onto it, but it’s not actually a thing, unfortunately."

The actress herself isn't sure how this made it into the news, saying, "Yeah, I don’t know how these things get [spread] — I don’t know, I don’t know. You know better; I have no idea."

There you have it, Maslany will not be starring as She-Hulk, at least not as of now.

But, of course, you can always go back and watch her in BBC America's Orphan Black. And she recently starred in the Perry Mason reboot, opposite Matthew Rhys.

Here's a peek at the trailer for the 2020 legal drama:

Do you appreciate Maslany setting the record straight?
