If you're a fan of Stephen Fry and/or dinosaurs, today is your lucky day. As Deadline reports, the well respected Brit has signed up to present the documentary series Dinosaur – with Stephen Fry.
It's being billed by U.K. network Channel 5 as a "four-day landmark event" that will immerse viewers in a recreation of the habitats roamed by dinosaurs during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Fry will act as a tour guide – a highly literate and witty one, as is his style – who introduces viewers to the dinosaurs and chats with experts along the way.
Fry said in a statement: "Dinosaurs have always been a passion of mine, so I jumped at the opportunity to lend my excitement and curiosity to immerse audiences back in time 250 million years. The attention to detail and technology in this series allows us to really delve deep in to some exciting new scientific discoveries about these majestic creatures."
Meanwhile, the series is described by Guy Davies, Channel 5 and Paramount+ Factual Commissioning Editor, as "specialist factual content but with an accessible and entertaining twist." That sounds like classic Stephen Fry, quite frankly.
There's no word yet on when Dinosaur – with Stephen Fry will premiere, but we're already excited to go virtual dino-spotting with him.
