Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Judi Dench, Dame Maggie Smith, Sir Derek Jacobi, and Sir Kenneth Branagh to Unite for Charity Zoom Event

This is not a drill: five of the U.K.'s most respected thesps are coming together this month for a charity Zoom event.

Punningly titled "For One Knight Only," the virtual event will see Sir Kenneth Branagh play host to what organizers describe as "a quatrain of theatrical Dames and Knights of the realm." They are Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Maggie Smith, and Sir Derek Jacobi.

The event will last for 90 minutes and is billed as "a knight (sic) of banter outrageous and laughter contagious, with live Q&A throughout." It begins at 2pm EST on Friday, November 29 and all proceeds from ticket sales will go to Acting for Others, an organization which provides support to entertainment industry professionals who have seen their livelihoods affected by the pandemic.

"As anyone who has attended one our Q&As will tell you, this exclusive treat will delight theatre lovers the world over," organizers Lockdown Theatre say. "These chats are always revealing, surprisingly intimate, and it's a rare delight to spend time in the company of stage and screen legends."

The five actors should have plenty of anecdotes to share from their long and glittering careers, which have frequently overlapped. In recent years, McKellen and Jacobi starred together in the British sitcom Vicious, while Dench appeared in Branagh's 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express.

However, we do wonder if Sir Ian McKellen will bring out his impeccable impression of Dame Maggie Smith in her presence? You can find out more about the event here.
