Sandra Oh's Powerful Golden Globes 'I See You' Speech

BBC America's own Sandra Oh made history Sunday night as the first woman of Asian descent to host the Golden Globes. After she and her co-host, Andy Samberg, neared the end of their opening monologue, Sandra stopped to take a moment to explain just why she decided to host one of Hollywood's biggest nights.

I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here to look out into this audience and witness this moment of change.

And I’m not fooling myself. I’m not fooling myself. Next year could be different. It probably will be. But right now, this moment is real. Trust me, it is real.

Because I see you. And I see you. All of these faces of change. And now, so will everyone else.

We see you, Sandra. And we're proud to have you in our #GalaxyOfWomen.
