Talk about a dream duo: Rosamund Pike has signed up to star in Emerald Fennell's new movie Saltburn
Deadline reports that Barry Keoghan (Eternals) and Jacob Elordi (Euphoria) have also been cast in the film, which is described as a "story of obsession" involving a grand aristocratic family. It's due to start shooting in the U.K. this summer.
Fennell, who served as Killing Eve's season two showrunner, made her feature film directorial debut with 2020's Promising Young Woman. Starring Carey Mulligan as a young woman seeking revenge for the rape of her late best friend, it was nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Director. Fennell cemented her rise by winning the Best Original Screenplay prize on the night.
Pike also enjoyed a successful awards season in 2021, winning a Golden Globe award for her performance as a conwoman in the black comedy film I Care A Lot. We can't wait to see what she and Fennell come up with together.
