Robert Pattinson Makes His Debut as the Caped Crusader in 'The Batman' Trailer

Like the Doctor, every few years (or so) a new actor steps in as Batman. Robert Pattinson is the latest to join the ranks, bringing the DC Comics superhero to the big screen.

Last year, The Batman director Matt Reeves shared a camera test of Pattinson in “the bat suit.”

It appears the moviemaking machine has been in full force, with a trailer releasing over the weekend.

It’s not just Pattinson as Batman, we’re also introduced to The Riddler, played by Paul Dano.

In the first look footage, we see a man quietly sitting at a diner. But, not for long, as he’s about to be arrested. As he’s taken away, his cappuccino is left behind with a question mark made in the foam.

And, what happens? The Bat-Signal is triggered.

We hear Batman say, “It’s not just a call… it’s a warning.”

The trailer helps fill in the blanks, as to what he means by that:

The trailer also includes Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon and Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle.

Colin Farrell is set to star as Penguin, but he wasn't included in the above clip.

The DC people are keeping us on our toes, building the anticipation.

The Batman is set to premiere on March 22 in 2022.
