Rami Malek and Full Cast Confirmed for New Bond Film Co-Written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge
After years of speculation, the full cast for the new Bond movie – currently known as "Bond 25" – has been officially announced today.
As we reported last year, Bohemian Rhapsody's Rami Malek has been cast in the movie as the main villain causing trouble for Daniel Craig's 007.
Billy Magnussen (Into the Woods, Black Mirror), Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel, Bulletproof), Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049, The Informer), David Dencik (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy) and Dali Benssalah (Red) have also been recruited for Bond duty.
They join returning cast members Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Ben Whishaw (Q), Rory Kinnear (MI6 chief Bill Tanner), Ralph Fiennes (M), Jeffrey Wright (Felix Lecter)and Léa Seydoux (Madeleine Swann).
The full cast was announced in a live-streamed event from GoldenEye, the Jamaican villa owned by late Bond creator Ian Fleming. The writers of Bond 25 were also announced, confirming a recent report that Killing Eve creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge has contributed to the script!

On Twitter, Malek's casting and Waller-Bridge's involvement in the movie is definitely proving popular.

As announced previously, Cary Joji Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation) is directing the movie after Danny Boyle departed the project in August 2018. Shooting is already underway at various locations in the U.K., Norway, Italy, and Jamaica.
Bond 25 is set to open in theaters on February 14, 2020, but obviously we still have questions – what is the movie's official title? Who will sing the theme song? And will this really be Daniel Craig's final adventure as 007? It's all just a little bit too exciting!
What do you think of the Bond 25 cast?
