If you enjoyed the first season of Only Murders in the Building, premiering this year on Hulu, there’s a second season in the works.
Filming has just begun, with series lead Steve Martin sharing the news via Twitter:

In the above photo, we see Martin with his co-stars, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, on-set together. The story revolves around the three all living in the same Manhattan apartment building, where there’s an unexpected death.
At first, it’s believed to be suicide, but the three amateur sleuths think otherwise… murder. They take it upon themselves to investigate, simultaneously documenting their finds with a DIY podcast.
We can look for the return of the original cast members and a new addition, with Cara Delevingne joining the series, reports ComingSoon.net.
She’s set to play a woman named Alice, who works in the art world. But, other than that, her role in the series is pretty vague.
The synopsis for season two has yet to be announced, adding to the mystery.
The first season did end on a cliffhanger, so we have an inkling that season two will pick up from there in one way or another.
Nathan Lane also starred in season one as Teddy Dimas, a businessman who helped sponsor the podcast.
Lane recently talked about whether or not his character will be returning, saying during a TCA panel, “We don’t know. We’re not allowed to say under pain of death. Send those cards and letters that you want to see more of the Dimas’. In fact, a Dimas spinoff would really be spectacular,” reports Deadline.
We kind of love it when actors recruit fans to petition for them.
Everyone is a suspect at this point, so possibly we will see more of Dima and his family.
With filming just starting, there’s no premiere date just yet, but we’re looking forward to season two.
