New Trailer: 'The Batman' Teases Relationship Between Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne and Zoë Kravitz's Catwoman

A new trailer for The Batman has debuted, and it spotlights the relationship between Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne and Zoë Kravitz's Catwoman.
The trailer suggests the two characters definitely have romantic chemistry, but also hints that they don't necessarily see eye to eye. When Batman's butler Alfred (Andy Serkis) asks if Catwoman is a "new friend of yours," Pattinson's title character replies cryptically: "I'm not so sure."
The action-packed teaser also gives us a glimpse at one of the movie's villains, Paul Dano's super-creepy Riddler, who is seen making somewhat strange FaceTime calls. Overall, the trailer suggests that The Batman should follow Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy in offering a dark and gritty take on the iconic DC superhero.
However, the trailer doesn't offer us a glimpse of the movie's other main villain, Colin Farrell's Penguin, whom director Matt Reeves has described as "a mid-level mobster guy" with "a bit of showmanship to him." During an interview with Empire, Reeves also revealed that Pattinson's take on Batman is partly inspired by Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain.
The Batman was originally scheduled for release in June 2021, before being pushed back to March 4, 2022 due to the pandemic. Bring it on!
