NEW TRAILER: Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger Return for 'Terminator: Dark Fate'
Two years ago we announced Linda Hamilton's plans to return to the forthcoming Terminator installment, 2019's Terminator: Dark Fate. And got a first look photo of her in action, just last year.
Hamilton will be reprising her original character, Sarah Connor, first made famous in 1984. We can also look for Arnold Schwarzenegger in the titular role of The Terminator.
And now, they're both featured in the official trailer, just released today (May 23):

The new film will pick up right after 1991's Terminator 2: Judgment Day. So, for all intents and purposes, we can ignore the sequels that followed. In T2, Schwarzenegger's Terminator looked the same as the original killer android, but this version was programmed to protect John Connor (Edward Furlong), Sarah Connor's son and the future saver of the world.
OK, now that we're all caught up, what can we look for in the next installment? Producer James Cameron is on-set in the recently released featurette to speed everyone up, saying, "You pick up the characters that we knew from Terminator 2 and we carry them forward."
The trailer takes us on a "white knuckle ride" with Connor, The Terminator, a new Terminator (Gabriel Luna) and new characters (Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes).
The full plot has yet to be released, but we're getting the feeling it goes something like this: the new Terminator is trying to kill Davis and Reyes' characters. And Connor steps in to provide her protection and expertise in killing killing machines.
Are you psyched to go back to the beginning-ish of this story!?
