Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale) is set to star in Leigh Whannel's The Invisible Man. It's being deemed a remake of the 1933 version, which is based on the H.G. Wells novel, but there have been some updates to the story that make it a bit different.

Moss portrays a woman by the name of Ceclia Kass. In the clip below, we see her fleeing from her abusive husband in the middle of the night. She's successful in making her escape but still feels his presence. When sitting down with a lawyer, she learns her husband has killed himself because he was so distraught over her leaving him. Even so, apparently no hard feelings on his end, as he's left her $5 million. But, there's a catch: She can only access the funds contingent on her being "mentally competent."

Kass can't believe her ex-husband killed himself; it doesn't fit with his narcissistic behavior. Her friend tries to rationalize with her, saying, "You have your freedom back. Don't let him haunt you." He's not in her head, but in the room, having come up with a way to make himself invisible.

It looks like she is losing it a bit (at 1:23 in the clip) — trembling, rambling, bleary-eyed — but what she's experiencing is in fact real. We're definitely keen to see if she is able to turn the tables on her abuser and out him for what he is.
