New Trailer: Elijah Wood Stars in Thriller 'Come to Daddy'
Elijah Wood, who is sometimes confused with Anglo favorite Daniel Radcliffe, is set to star in the thriller Come to Daddy. The name of the movie is creepy in itself. We could stop there but will carry on...
Wood plays a man in his thirties, named Norval Greenwood. He sets out to a remote coastal town to reconcile with his estranged father (Stephen McHattie). In the first look clip we see the reunion, where his father embraces him saying, "I never thought I'd see you again." Aw, that's so sad, but nice that the two have made up.
As things progress, Norval realizes his father is not the man he hoped him to be:

Three fourths of the way through the trailer, Norval says to his dad, "I know what's happening." We don't. But, our interest is piqued. We should point out, this film is one of those hybrid genres, made up of thriller, horror and comedy. We're definitely picking up on the horror aspect, when Norval turns reluctantly murderous, but there aren't too many LOL moments... at least, not yet.
Wood is always a delight to watch on-screen, we've really enjoyed him in earlier roles like BBC America's Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (2016-2017), Wilfred (2011-2014) and the Harry Potter movies — oh, wait, that was Daniel Radcliffe:

We're looking forward to this one, too. You can look for Come to Daddy in theaters and VOD on February 7.
