New Trailer: Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini are Back for 'Dead to Me' Season 2

Have you been wondering when Dead to Me is returning for a second season? We have, too! And now it's been announced. You can look for the killer-thriller to return to Netflix on May 8.

The first season kicked off in 2019, starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini in the leads. The two play unlikely friends, meeting at a grief support group. Jen (Applegate) had just lost her husband in a car accident and Judy had lost her fiancé to a heart attack.

Unlikely because — HUGE SPOILER HERE — Judy actually killed Jen's husband in a hit-and-run. As viewers, it's hinted at with a bunch of foreshadowing, and we learn the reality of what happened right at the very end of the first episode. So, you do find out pretty early on.

The series continues on with Judy trying to make amends by being a good friend to Jen. If you need some catching up, here's a teaser for season one:

Okay, so what can we expect for season two? The new trailer gives a little background from season one, and at 0:17 we get some new stuff, with Jen saying in a voiceover say, "No one can ever know what happened." Jen and Judy are standing at the edge of her pool and there's a dead body floating in it, which is where we left off in the season one finale.

Netflix has released a trailer for season two, which you can find over at YouTube.

Okay, so the first season revolved around Jen looking for a murderer and Judy covering it up. Now in the second season, Jen is covering up a murder and Judy is... helping her? We're not sure what the plan is, just yet.

But, we'll find out on May 8 when Dead to Me returns for a second go.

Is this going on your watch list?
