We know Regé-Jean Page best as Bridgerton's season one romantic hero, Simon Basset. But now, he's showing off his action chops in the trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Page stars opposite Chris Pine in the lavish-looking fantasy movie, which is based on the long-running board game series Dungeons & Dragons. The supporting cast includes Hugh Grant, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith and Sophia Lillis, all of whom feature in the trailer too.
Though the trailer features fight scenes and loads of flying dragons, it also includes moments of levity, which chimes with what Pine has previously said about the movie. Describing its tone earlier this year, he told Collider: "It's like Game of Thrones mixed with a little Princess Bride, just a smidge of Holy Grail; it's somewhere in that ballpark. It's a lot of fun. It's got a lot of thrills. It's poppy, it's eighties heartfelt, there's a bit of Goonies in there."
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who previously made the comedy movies Game Night and Vacation. It's scheduled to open in theaters on March 3, 2023, so we still have a fair while to wait until we can see Page in full-on dragon-slaying mode.
