Miriam Margolyes Says She's Never Watched a 'Harry Potter' Movie: 'I'm Not a Fan'

One of the reasons we love Miriam Margolyes is because she says precisely what she thinks, with absolutely no filter.

Though she's known for playing Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter movies, that doesn't mean she's a fan of J.K. Rowling's massively popular book and film franchise.

According to Yahoo!, she made the revelation in a video message recorded for Cameo, a platform which allows fans to buy personalized greetings from their favorite celebrities.

In the video message, Margolyes told the purchaser: "I understand you're a huge Harry Potter fan. Here's the thing, I'm not. I'm not against it, I'm just not interested. I've never read the books, I've never seen a film, I just pocket the money when it comes in and I'm very grateful for it."

She then added: "I'm sure Harry Potter's world is a good world, but it's not my world. So, I hope you understand that, despite the fact I'm the headmistress of Hufflepuff, I don't really want to talk about Harry Potter."

Margolyes also revealed recently that Queen Elizabeth II told her to "be quiet" during a reception at Buckingham Palace.

We recently made her our British Icon of the Week, rounding up some of the other times she had absolutely no filter.
