We hate to break it to you, but Miranda Hart has dismissed a report that another season of her sitcom is in the pipeline.
"It's so lovely when some people get excited there might be more Miranda," she wrote on Twitter this morning (April 25). "But I'm afraid what was in [the] papers today didn't come from me. Nothing planned at this time."
Meanwhile, Deadline reports that the BBC has "no current plans" to order another season of the hugely popular sitcom.

The confusion appears to stem from an article in local English magazine Devon Life, which states that Hart has written a fourth season and quotes her as saying: "A lot of lovely people have kept on asking for the return of Miranda so here we are and I hope everyone likes it." This quote has since been published in several British national newspapers, fueling rumors of another season.
The last regular episode of Miranda aired in 2015, though Hart and co-stars Tom Ellis, Patricia Hodge, Sally Phillips, and Sarah Hadland reunited in 2020 for the non-scripted 10th anniversary special, Miranda: My Such Fun Celebration. And of course, the spirit of Miranda lives on in the Fox sitcom Call Me Kat, which is based on Hart's sitcom and counts her as an executive producer.
While possibly disappointing, are you glad Miranda Hart set the record straight?
