Michelle Dockery Is Teaming Up with Steven Knight for ‘This Town’ Series

Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) has signed on for a new project. She’s set to star in Steven Knight’s (Peaky Blinders) forthcoming This Town, reports ComingSoon.net.
The six-part BBC series opens in 1981. The story revolves around ska and two-tone music and how the two genres brought people together during a time of unrest.
Knight, who will write and direct, released a statement, explaining how the series came about, saying, “This is a project very close to my heart. It’s about an era I lived through and know well, and it involves characters who I feel I grew up with.”
He also talks about the viewers’ takeaway: “It’s a love letter to Birmingham and Coventry, but I hope people from all over the world will relate to it.” 
In addition to Dockery, you can also look for Nicholas Pinnock (Marcella) and David Dawson (My Policeman). It’s not only a drama but also described as a “high-octane thriller and family saga.” This Town is in the early stages with a start date still to be announced.
