Merritt Wever and Domhnall Gleeson Star in Phoebe Waller-Bridge's New Series 'Run'

Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) kicked off the first season of the TV phenomenon Killing Eve as executive-producer, writer and showrunner. She passed on the baton to Emerald Fennell for season two. As we head into season three, premiering April 26, Suzanne Heathcote takes on writing duties.

Now that we have the KE updates covered, what's Waller-Bridge working on now? She still acts as executive producer for our favorite killer-thriller, but is also spearheading a new series called Run. She will ex-produce and star in a recurring role.

Run is a hybrid of rom-com and thriller, co-starring Merritt Wever (Unbelievable) and Domhnall Gleeson (Peter Rabbit). The series revolves around two friends, Ruby and Billy, who made a pact 15 years prior to reunite at NYC's Grand Central Station on the first train right after 5pm.

They both show up, as we see in the newly released trailer:

That leaves two questions: Are they running from something? Or, to something?

Once on the train, Ruby thinks out loud to herself, "Who does this? Oh my god, what will I say?" Billy inquires, "To who?" It seems Ruby might be leaving someone behind.

Run will premiere on HBO on April 12. We can look for Waller-Bridge in a recurring role as Flick.

While there are still a lot of questions about what exactly is going on here, we do like the start of it.

Has the first look piqued your interest?
