Writer-director Adam McKay's (Vice) forthcoming sci-fi comedy has been getting some serious movement as of late, with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence already confirmed to take the leads.

And now Mark Rylance has been added to the mix, reports Deadline. We know Rylance from outstanding performances in movies like 2015's Bridge of Spies, 2018's Dunkirk and last year's The Trial of the Chicago 7.

The storyline revolves around two astronomers who discover that there is an asteroid heading to Earth. If not stopped within six months, it will destroy the planet.

That does not sound good.

DiCaprio and Lawrence play the "low-level" astronomers, who go on a media tour trying to warn the world of what's coming. Alas, no one is listening to them.

The list of cast members is as long as it is astounding, including Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Rob Morgan, Tyler Perry and Chris Evans.

We can even look for a cameo by Matthew Perry.

Did McKay just ask everyone he knows to be involved and they said, "yes"? Possibly.

But, we're not complaining, it sounds like a fun romp in the form of a survival movie.

The title of the movie makes us think of when someone says, "Head's up!" and then the person looks up and gets smacked in the face with an object, except the opposite — don't look up, which is some sound advice.

There's no word on who's going to play who, but we'll keep an eye out for more information.

Filming has begun on the movie, which will land over at Netflix when complete.

Do you have a favorite Mark Rylance role? It can include stage, of course!
