'Lord of the Rings' Sir Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Orlando Bloom and More to Reunite for YouTube Special
Are you ready for a virtual return trip to Middle-Earth? Sir Ian McKellen and a whole host of cast members from Peter Jackson's J.R.R. Tolkien movie trilogy are reuniting for a YouTube special this weekend.
The epic reunion has been put together by Josh Gad as the latest edition of his Reunited Apart YouTube series. The Beauty and the Beast actor has already kept folks entertained while they practice social distancing by bringing together the casts of The Goonies, Back to the Future, and Splash for group Zoom chats.
A trailer for his The Lord of the Rings special features Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Orlando Bloom, and Sir Ian, who briefly reprises his iconic role as Gandalf before taking a celebratory sip of red wine.

The full reunion special will also feature director Peter Jackson plus fellow cast members Karl Urban, Viggo Mortensen, Mirando Otto, John Rhys-Davies, Sean Bean, and Liv Tyler – plus Andy Serkis, who recently read The Hobbit in full on YouTube to raise money for people affected by coronavirus.
It's set to premiere Sunday at 12pm EST on Gad's YouTube channel. Bring it on.
