Mike Myers' upcoming comedy series has unveiled its title – The Pentaverate – and added a raft of new cast members.

According to Variety, the Netflix series will co-star Keegan-Michael Key, Ken Jeong, and Absolutely Fabulous favorite Jennifer Saunders.

Younger's Debi Mazar, Eye in the Sky's Richard McCabe, and It's a Sin breakout star Lydia West have also been cast in the six-part series, in which Myers is playing no fewer than seven different characters. The Wayne's World and Austin Powers mastermind also created The Pentaverate and is one of the executive producers.

The series, first announced in 2019, definitely has an interesting premise. It follows an unassuming Canadian journalist who discovers that five key figures, the so-called Pentaverate, have been working behind the scenes to influence major world events since the Black Plague of 1347. Shooting is said to be underway now.

The Pentaverate definitely sounds like Myers' most significant star vehicle since his 2008 movie The Love Guru. In recent years the actor-writer-director has kept a relatively low profile, though he did take on supporting roles in the 2018 movies Terminal and Bohemian Rhapsody.
