Jamie Dornan currently stars in the mystery-thriller The Tourist, which premiered on BBC One in the U.K.
For those of you who have been excited to watch stateside, it now has a home and a release date. You can look for the six-part series over at HBO Max, beginning March 3, reports ComingSoon.net.
If the series is new to you, the story revolves around a British transplant (Dornan), who is now in Australia, and is simply referred to as “The Man.”
The Man finds himself being chased by an enraged truck driver, forcing him off the road. He wakes up in a hospital with no memory of his life beforehand.
HBO Max has released a new trailer, which includes footage we’d yet to see:
As the story unfolds, The Man is still being pursued, and at the same time, he is in pursuit of answers, hoping to learn who he was before all of this.
In the above clip, he asks a very pertinent question, “Why would someone want me dead?”
If you’re still wanting a little bit more on what to expect, here is the official description: “Full of shocking, surprising, funny and brutal turns, The Tourist is set in a world populated by quirky, enigmatic characters and off-beat comedy punctuates high-stakes action. At its heart, however, is a story of self-discovery with a ticking timebomb underneath: as The Man starts to uncover the mystery of who he was, he’s also forced to ask who he is now – and fast. Will he unlock the secrets of his identify before those who are trying to kill him catch up with him?”
The series comes from Harry and Jack Williams, who also co-created Baptiste, available for steaming over at Amazon Prime.
