James Bond is Getting a 'No Time to Die' Podcast
We'd kind of love to say James Bond is hosting a podcast, but that's not actually the case. Rather, James Bond is getting a podcast dedicated to him and the next film No Time to Die, which stars Daniel Craig as 007, reports Empire Online.
And, what is said podcast going to be called? Drumroll please — da-da-da-dummm — the name is... No Time to Die: The Official James Bond Podcast.
Well, it gets the job done and doesn't leave much confusion as to what it's about. It may not be all that splashy, but 007 brings enough of that to the table.
Launching today (September 30), the six-part podcast will be made up of all things Bond, like gadgets, cars, locations, stunts and more. Film critic James King is set to host, and we can listen for new interviews with the cast, including Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Jeffrey Wright and Naomie Harris.
As well as people behind the camera, like director Cary Joji Fukunaga, producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, and crew members from the casting director to special effects supervisor.
In the coming soon trailer, we hear Craig talking about first getting the role, with him saying, "I said to Barbara and Michael, 'I can't do an impression of something that's come before. I can't recreate something you've done before. I can come and try and reinvent it.' And instead of them sort of saying, 'Thanks very much, bye,' they said, 'Yeah, that's exactly what we want you to do.'"
And, as you know, he got the part, starring in five movies, kicking off with 2006's Casino Royale. The next installment, No Time to Die, is scheduled to be his final appearance.
Here's a look at what's to come with the podcast:
Episode One: "Bond in Context"
Episode Two: "Bond Around the World"
Episode Three: "A Name to Die For: Allies and Enemies of Bond"
Episode Four: "The Craft of Bond"
Episode Five: "Clothes, Tech and Cars"
Episode Six: "Being 007"
