Henry Cavill took on the role of the iconic Sherlock Holmes in 2020’s Enola Holmes, starring Millie Bobby Brown in the title role. The movie centers around Holmes’ little sister, who is also a sleuth.

There’s a follow-up movie in the works, Enola Holmes 2, which will see the return of Cavill, Brown and Helena Bonham Carter as their mother, Eudoria Holmes.
The synopsis for the sequel has yet to be announced, other than that it revolves once again around the teen investigator.
But, we do know that Cavill has completed filming his scenes, with him turning to Instagram to share the news.
And, what did he do to celebrate the accomplishment? He went for a jog.
While this may not be breaking news, it is refreshing, with Cavill saying in the DIY video, “Hey, everybody, today was my last day on Enola Holmes. And the entire day I was thinking about not coming out and doing this run.”
He provides the reasons as to why, going on to say, “It was a little dark and a little chilly and I was convincing myself all day long that those were all good reasons not to run. However, I came out here, I did it, I’ve loved it, and it feels really, really good.”
The wee celebration ends with a pep talk for those watching, with Cavill saying, “So, if you’re sitting at home, thinking about not training today, throw those trainers on and get out there and do it. You won’t regret it.”
You can watch the video over at Instagram.
The Enola Holmes movies are based on Nancy Springer’s YA book series, with Jack Thorne writing the screenplays.
There’s no premiere date for the sequel just yet, but we are one step closer.
