Guy Ritchie is back at it again, taking a seat in the director’s chair. He’s turned his attention to Disney and is set to adapt the story of Hercules into a live-action movie, reports Empire.
Ritchie is probably best known for his British action movies, like Snatch, RocknRolla, and The Gentleman. But, in 2019, he collaborated with Disney on the live-action adaptation of Aladdin. This isn’t his first rodeo amusement park ride.
The animated version came out in 1997. The story revolves around Hercules, who is the son of Zeus and Hera. Hercules is stripped of his immorality and is tasked with becoming a hero on his own.
If you missed it, here’s a peek at the trailer for the original movie:

Ritchie’s version is in the early stages and casting has yet to begin. Ritchie is very loyal and tends to cast actors he’s worked with before, like Jason Statham.
This time around, he may have to start afresh. But, maybe there's a role for Statham, like Zeus?
Any suggestions on who could take on the role of Hercules?
