Are you ready for more Snow? Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, that is, because further details about his spin-off series are emerging.
Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin confirmed on his blog that the series, first reported last week, is definitely in the works and has the working title SNOW. He also confirmed what Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke told the BBC earlier this week: namely, that Kit Harington is very much the driving force behind the series.
"It seems as though Emilia Clarke has already mentioned that SNOW was Kit’s idea in a recent interview," he wrote. "So that part is out.  Yes, it was Kit Harrington who brought the idea to us. I cannot tell you the names of the writers/showrunners, since that has not been cleared for release yet... but Kit brought them in too, his own team, and they are terrific."
Martin also reassured fans he is very much involved with the spin-off series, adding: "Kit’s team have visited me here in Santa Fe and worked with me and my own team of brilliant, talented writer/consultants to hammer out the show." But beyond that, Martin didn't give too much away. Having been at the helm of a huge TV franchise for over a decade, he definitely knows how to keep his cards close to his chest.
Are you looking forward to seeing more of Jon Snow?
