Gal Gadot has been building a fan base as Wonder Woman in the 2017 movie and its sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, which just released in December. Next, we can look for her in the forthcoming Heart of Stone, which is deemed a spy thriller.

The details on the plot are limited, but it's just been announced by Deadline that the movie will be heading to Netflix.

While the story itself is unknown, it's being compared to that of James Bond and Mission: Impossible, according to ComingSoon.net. Those are some pretty strong, long-standing franchises... nothing to sneeze at.

Greg Rucka is set to write the screenplay for Heart of Stone. He just made his feature film debut with 2020's The Old Guard, which also premiered on Netflix. The fantasy-adventure movie is based off of his graphic novel, starring Charlize Theron in the title role.

In case you missed it, here's a look at that trailer:

Tom Harper (The Aereonauts) will handle directing duties on Heart of Stone.

With this in the early stages, a start date has yet to be announced. In the meantime, we can look for Gadot in Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile, premiering September 17. She's also set to reprise her role as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman for the Justice League miniseries, also set to come out later this year.
