First Look: 'Twin Peaks' Star Tim Roth Portrays Detective-Turned-Police Chief in 'Tin Star' Trailer

You may know Tim Roth from his Reservoir Dog days as Mr. Orange in 1992. Or, as Pumpkin in 1994's Pulp Fiction, delivering the unforgettable line, "Everyone be cool, this is a robbery!!" Or, you may have just seen him in the Twin Peaks reboot as Gary "Hutch" Hutchens.

Well, his hot streak continues, taking the lead in a new Amazon original, Tin Star.

The 10-part series tackles the time-old fish-out-of-water tale, or, to be more precise, British-detective-out-of-U.K.-replanted-in-Canada story. Roth stars as former detective Jim Worth, who relocates to Little Big Bear with his family, taking on the position of police chief.

And, as expected, the local residents give some push back. They aren't necessarily so keen on a newbie taking charge of their town.

Roth is joined by Mad Men alum Christina Hendricks. She plays Elizabeth Bradshaw, a corporate liaison who opens an oil refinery nearby. The new venture brings work to the Canadian Rockies, but it also attracts trouble.

The below trailer details the power struggle going on amongst all the different players:

You can look for the premiere of this promising crime drama on September 29.

If you'd like to see more of his work, you can look for Roth in 2014's Selma and 2015's The Hateful Eight. He is currently filming The Padre, opposite Nick Nolte, set for a 2018 release.
