First Look: Timothée Chalamet Stars as Paul Atreides in 'Dune' Teaser Trailer
Just yesterday a teaser trailer was released for the new Dune adaptation. The short clip announced that we should all look out for the feature trailer today (such a tease!).
Is it out yet? Just checked. Nope. Now? Just checked. Nope. We could do this all day...
Instead, let's focus on the teaser, which is pretty great in itself, and we can pop the trailer into this post when it is ready to go. The short clip gives us a listen to Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides. At the end of the clip, we get a brief look at him in character, with his hair all blowing in the wind.
He gives a speech about letting go of fear, which you can hear for yourself in the below:

Fear of what? Oh, he might be referring to being forced into the desert, after his father is assassinated. He could live in hiding or fight back against the empire that overthrew him and his family.
While he's kind of the underdog in this situation, his speech is pretty convincing. He has the makings of a great leader.
In addition to Chalamet, you can also look for Stellan Skarsgård, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin and Oscar Isaac.
Update: The feature trailer is now available, as of Wednesday, September 9 at 12:18 pm EST. Here it is:

Of course, this isn't the first time we're seeing an adaptation of Frank Herbert‘s 1965 sci-fi fantasy novel up on the big screen. David Lynch (Twin Peaks) brought the story to life in 1984.
If you haven’t seen the original, or it’s been a minute (some 50 plus years), here’s a look at the trailer:
