First Look: Robert Pattinson Suits Up as 'The Batman' in Director Matt Reeves' Camera Test

If you've been wondering what Robert Pattinson might look like in The Batman, your curiosity is about to be satisfied.

Director Matt Reeves has shared a glimpse of R-Patz in his "batsuit" in a camera test for the movie. "Camera test" might sound rough and ready, but the minute-long video is a stylish affair featuring dramatic music and a slow reveal towards Pattinson as the caped crusader. Check it out below.

Fans on Twitter have given the footage a big thumbs up, saying that the new batsuit, which has a noticeably hand-made feel, looks "freaking amazing." When he was asked about his batsuit in October, Pattinson said teasingly: "Matt has got a really awesome idea about it. I think this thing is going to be very, very cool.”

Reeves started shooting The Batman in London in January. The movie's plot is being kept under wraps, but we do know that Colin Farrell's The Penguin is one of three main villains set to cause trouble for Pattinson’s caped crusader. Zoë Kravitz is playing another classic baddie, Catwoman, while Paul Dano is taking on the equally iconic role of the Riddler.

Farrell recently described Reeves' script for the movie as "beautiful, dark [and] moving," which is definitely the vibe given off by the camera test, brief as it is.

The Batman is set for release on June 25, 2021. After watching the camera test, it's hard not to think "bring on the first full trailer."
